Advisory Services for Audit Committees, Supervisory Boards, and Other Ownership Representation Forums in Relation to Compliance Oversight

In organizations with advanced monitoring systems, members of ownership representation bodies bear significant responsibility. They must assess whether the organization is effectively managing its recurring risks and remains aligned with its strategic objectives by synthesizing and evaluating information from various sources. These bodies often include professionals with operational or business backgrounds, but may also include delegates representing ownership who come from entirely different sectors.

Given that information provided by Compliance and other internal monitoring functions is not always straightforward to interpret—e.g., it may be unclear whether a particular misconduct poses a serious threat to the organization—there may be a need for external expert advice, either on an ad hoc basis or regularly (e.g., prior to every Audit or Supervisory Committee meeting). Such support can assist in interpreting the data and formulating recommendations for further actions.

ABT is ready to support you through ad hoc consultations or regular advisory services. We can assist in interpreting individual reports or defining follow-up tasks to be assigned to the Compliance function. Upon request, we can also provide ongoing support, including review of all relevant reports prior to committee meetings. Our services include highlighting key risks, proposing relevant questions for clarification, and identifying further tasks to be addressed.
