According to surveys conducted by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), 43% of fraud cases are uncovered through tips, with 52% of those tips coming from employees. The survey also examines the reporting channels used: 53% of reports are submitted through official whistleblowing systems. There is a clear decline in phone-based reporting, while the number of reports submitted via email or dedicated reporting platforms is steadily increasing. Additionally, it is well documented that the longer the time between the incident and its detection, the greater the financial loss.
Therefore, it can be highly beneficial to educate employees about how the system works, the reporting procedure, and how to act if they witness any kind of misconduct.
If your organization sees the need to train employees and raise awareness about fraud prevention, ABT can provide expert support to help ensure a clear understanding and effective use of the whistleblowing system. We also share best practice solutions to enhance organizational transparency and integrity.
The training content is customized to your organization’s specific needs and can be delivered either online or in person, depending on your preferences.
